As an artist, painter, and image-maker, I am constantly examining and contemplating pictures: their form, content, their effect on their audience and the world at large. These are a collection of works - mostly paintings, from the Renaissance to the present day, that I find extremely inspiring as a painter. They're all high quality images, so click on them for a better view. I do hope to add more in the future, enjoy!

P.S. you can view some of my own painting and installation work at my other blog: http://atalayportfolio.blogspot.com/
